Slava Morgun
Slava Morgun was born in 1982 in Nazhniy Novgorod (the third largest city in Russia). Both he and his twin sister Katya, demonstrated an interest in art at the early age of three. At that point, Slava began his art career by quiently and spontaneously refecting his early childhood experiences with colored pencils and watercolors. From the ages of seven through fifteen, Slava attended art school in Niahniy Novgordo. In 1997 he completed the art school with both a diploma and the highest excellence rating attainable.
In 2002 he moved to Moscow to study at the prestigious Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. During his studies at the art school, the art college, adn the academy, he was awarded diplomas and certificates of honore for his participation in various exhibitions. Of great significance in 2004, both Slava's and Katya's paintings were exhibited at the third annual Russian Exhibition of Diploma Works by art students throughout Russia. Held in the city of Yaroslav, Slavca received the highest awards from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Until 2009 Slava will be devoting full time to his academic studies at which time he will officidally begin his career as a full time artist.
